Session Structure
Should you decide that you would like to work with me, please contact me, and if I have availability, I will book a free 50 minute consult session to allow you to determine if you want to pursue counselling further. At the conclusion of this session, if you decide that you want to continue with counselling, we will review and sign an informed consent and limits of confidentiality form.
Regular counselling sessions are 50 minutes in duration, and can be scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on counsellor availability.
Fees
I value providing low-barrier access to quality counselling services. As such, I offer a sliding scale according to income and/or need. We will discuss cost prior to our first meeting.
Payment is expected at the end of the session in cash, e-transfer, or personal cheque. A receipt will be provided each session, if requested.
Some extended health plans and insurance plans will pay for part or all of your counselling services. If you plan to use extended health care benefits, please be sure to check that counselling by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) is covered by your benefits plan prior to booking. We do not bill insurance plans; however, we can provide receipts for you to submit to your plan for reimbursement, if covered.
I ask that you give 24-hours notice if you are cancelling an appointment. If I receive less than 24-hours notice you will be responsible for the full fee, payable at the next session.
